The third season of Supergirl premiered on The CW on October 9, 2017, and concluded on June 18, 2018. It was announced on January 8, 2017.
The season aired on Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. prior to Valor in the fall, iZombie in the spring, and Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the early summer. It went on hiatus from February 5 to April 16 in order to allow the third season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow to air its remaining nine episodes of the season in the same time slot.
It arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on September 18, 2018.
