The fifth and final season of Dynasty premiered on December 20, 2021, and is expected to conclude on September 2, 2022. It was announced on February 3, 2021.

The first two episodes of the season aired back-to-back on Monday, December 20, before shifting to Friday nights at 9:00 PM, where it aired following Charmed from March 11 to June 3, and Killer Camp beginning August 5.

On May 12, 2022, The CW cancelled the series, making the fifth season its last.
